The Lincoln Highway was the nation's first transcontinental highway, established 1913 from New York City to San Francisco. Most of these photographs are published in my book "Lincoln Highway: Main Street across America." They were taken on several trips between 1980 and 1985. This set includes a few images not included in the book. They are presented here in geographic order from New York to San Francisco.
