Reflecting a Prairie Town (37)
Photographs from "Reflecting a Prairie Town: A Year in Peterson," published by the University of Iowa Press, 1994. The book traces the story of a small Iowa town through its history, geography, people, and contemporary life, and is a model for how we might study any place, anywhere. It has garnered favor in “Library Journal,” the “Chicago Tribune,” as well as mention in the “Los Angeles Times” and the “Minneapolis Star Tribune.” An exhibit of the photographs from “Reflecting a Prairie Town” toured to museums and galleries in the Midwest. -

Lincoln Highway (54)
The Lincoln Highway was the nation's first transcontinental highway, established 1913 from New York City to San Francisco. Most of these photographs are published in my book "Lincoln Highway: Main Street across America." They were taken on several trips between 1980 and 1985. This set includes a few images not included in the book. They are presented here in geographic order from New York to San Francisco.
